Race For Hope DC

Wendy's Quack Pack

Wendy Adler's team of family and friends is uniting to make a difference in the fight against brain tumors, which tragically took Wendy from us last September. Her disease -- glioblastoma -- has no cure yet, but intensive medical research is underway to find one. That's why we are taking action by walking or running in the Race for Hope DC on Sunday, May 5. We have set a goal of raising $14,000! We really need your help in this fight. Please join in our effort!

The sponsor, National Brain Tumor Society, is committed to defeating brain tumors and improving the quality of patients’ lives. NBTS unrelentingly invests in, mobilizes, and unites the brain tumor community to discover a cure, deliver effective treatments, and advocate for patients and caregivers.

We are calling ourselves Wendy's Quack Pack because Wendy’s nickname was Duckie. She loved ducks, had her own collection of little rubber duckies in various outfits, and drove the “Duckmobile.” We even have a caricature of Wendy from her high school days with her carrying a sign that says “Equal Rights for web-footed friends.”

Thanks for joining Wendy's Quack Pack and walking, running and/or donating to the cause.
