Race For Hope DC

Team Chris

My dad, Chris Navarra, lost his battle with Brain cancer on April 27, 2017. It took him in only 5 months! I was updating this story for this year when I read about the caring bridge page that was made during the time he was sick, as a way to update everyone on what was happening. I had completely forgotten about that page. I cannot bring myself to look at it, but it is there if anyone else wanted to. https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/chrisnavarra. There are many different brain tumors/cancers...but dads was apparently very rare, and called Glioblastoma.

Since loosing him, I made a promise to myself to always participate in this race, when possible- for dad! When we first signed up, we had signed dad up as a survivor, but he never made it :( It seems to get harder every year to find people to come with me, but I cannot do this alone and it's very important to me. So if anyone would like to join me for this I would really appreciate it! I hope as many people can participate as possible! Not only for dad, but for SO many others that are going through this too. You never know just how many are going through it, till you show up to the race!
