Welcome to My Personal Page
Thank you for visiting my page! I am walking for the 12th year in a row in celebration of two amazing people in my life. The first is my one and only true love, my husband Bill, who had surgery to remove a grade 2 meningioma on November 15, 2004. After suffering post-surgical complications, he had a second surgery on December 15, 2004 and has since recovered amazingly well!
I am honored to be walking for Bill because he is a hero to me and our children. He is a survivor on multiple levels. He is generous in every way. He is honorable and honest. He is humble. He is smart and driven. He is loving and lovable. He is a quick-witted Irishman who is sure to make you smile or laugh out loud when he tells a story. He is my rock and my best friend. I love him more than words can ever describe and I'm grateful to be sharing my life with such an amazing human being. He's made me a better person and made me happier than I ever expected I could be.
I am also walking for my nephew Sean, an inspiring young man who has dealt with more than any person should have to, at his age. He had surgery to remove a grade 2 oglioastrocytoma on August 29, 2008. He is difficult to describe because he is so special and unique, I hope I can find the words to do him justice. He is a gift to the world. His sense of humor is so sharp, he could easily be a stand-up comic, but he's happy just making the people around him laugh. He is amazingly intelligent, but most of all, he is one of the most accepting and non-judgemental people I know. He is my relative, but more importantly, he is my friend. I hope he knows how much I love, respect, and treasure him.
I am thrilled to be walking to raise money on behalf of Bill and Sean so that research in this growing medical field can continue. I credit the great medical care at MGH for saving both of their lives, and I believe in my heart and soul that medical advances resulting from education and research contributed largely to the excellent care they both received.
Thank you, again, for visiting my page and thank you for donating to this crucial cause. Although research has come a very long way in recent years, there is so much left to learn and every contribution is greatly appreciated.
With much love and appreciation,
