NBTS Fall Challenge: Miles for Milestones

Team Jess

Jess Finlayson was diagnosed in 2018 at the age of 26 with AA3 brain tumor. Jess was an 8th grade Math teacher and Varsity Volleyball coach at Northampton Area School District in Pennsylvania. After 3 craniotomies, radiation and chemo, Jess's tumor morphed into a Glioblastoma (GBM). Jess fought hard in 2020 with many surgeries and treatments but lost her battle to this horrible disease in January 2021.

For those wishing to participate in person, Erik and Jean will be holding our own event where people can walk/run/or ride on Sunday Sept 26th. For those interested in joining Erik for an ~25 mile bike ride, they are meeting at Ironton Rail Trail pavilion on Chestnut Street and Ruch streets in Whitehall at 10:30 AM. For those interested in walking or running you can meet Jean at noon at the same location and we will walk or run a 5K. Afterwords we are all planning to go to the Taylor house brewing in Catasauqua at approximately 1 PM. Bring your chairs if you plan to go to Taylor House.

Team Jess is participating in the National Brain Tumor Society Fall Challenge: Miles for Milestones. Please support our efforts by registering to join our team or consider making a donation to one of our team member's fundraising efforts. You can support this year's event and watch the NBTS program on October 17th virtually!
