NBTS Fall Challenge: Miles for Milestones

Bobby - always with a smile

Hope Brings Strength

For the last 8 years our family has joined the Race for Hope to fight for patients living with brain tumors/brain cancer and to honor those whose cure did not come soon enough.  To be honest, I was not going to have a page or a team this year, as I find most days difficult just to breathe, because my beautiful Bobby, passed away Sept 5, 2021 after nearly 10 years of living his life (and I will say his best life) with a brain tumor/brain cancer.  But the truth is, when Bobby passed away, his brothers, Michael and Jonathan, posted about his death and instantly money started to be donated to the National Brain Tumor Society - a cause that was so important to Bobby.  And so, to honor Bobby, I will once again, in my own way, pay tribute to him and support all those living with this terrible disease.

Despite his diagnosis, Bobby lived each day to the fullest.  His doctors called him extraordinary because of how he chose to live life - with strength, with determination, with curiosity, with positivity and always with a smile on his face, even during the most difficult discussions.

Team Hope Brings Strength has raised nearly $150,000 over the past seven years and although a cure did not come soon enough for Bobby, I know there are researchers that are doing their best to discover better treatment options for this horrible disease.

My heart is beyond shattered but I will NOT rest until I know there is a cure. The National Brain Tumor Society will not rest until a cure exists. Please join me as Hope Brings Strength supports the 2021 NBTS Fall Challenge! Thank you for your support!

Our team is excited to join forces with the National Brain Tumor Society by participating in the first ever Fall Challenge: Miles for Milestones. Please support our efforts by either registering to join our team or consider making a donation to one of our team member's fundraising efforts. While we continue to navigate living in a virtual space, we are reminded of the benefit it provides; YOU can support this year's event and take part in the program on October 17th from anywhere in the world! The National Brain Tumor Society is committed to conquering and curing brain tumors — once and for all
