In July, 2017 I was diagnosed with a Meningioma, or a meningeal tumor. Within 3 weeks of the diagnosis I had a craniotomy and my doctor was able to remove the tumor. I was fortunate in that it was benign, but so many others aren't as fortunate.

I received tremendous care from the medical team at the hospital and unbelievable support from my family. I don't believe I could have made it through the whole ordeal the way I did without both in my corner.

I am uniting with others to make a difference in the fight against brain tumors. I am passionate about this cause, so I’m taking action. I need your help in this fight. I will be walking/running in the The Virginia Brain Tumor Walk & Race to raise awareness and funds to support the needs of brain tumor patients and their families.
