This year due to COVID-19, the 3rd Annual RVA Brain Tumor 5K will take place virtually on November 7, 2020. But we are still joining together to raise awareness and much needed resources to fund critical brain tumor-specific programs to improve the lives of all those affected by brain tumors. Donations raised support the National Brain Tumor Society's efforts to find a cure for brain tumors, and improve the quality of life and treatment options for those living with a Brain Tumor.
This is the third year that my mother, sister, and I are uniting with others to make a difference in the fight against brain tumors. We are passionate about this cause, so we are taking action. We need your help in this fight. National Brain Tumor Society will not rest until a cure exists - but more needs to be done. Please join in our effort! Make a Donation Today!
In December 2016, my father, Michael Miller, died after a 14 month battle with glioblastoma brain cancer. Part of the money raised in this walk will go to improve the quality of life and treatment options for brain tumor patients. This will hopefully include making families more aware of their options to seek palliative and hospice care. This support helped us a great deal and we are very thankful for the 8 months of care my father received while in hospice care at the Journey's Way unit of McGuire VA Medical Center.
National Brain Tumor Society is fiercely committed to finding a cure for brain tumors. They are aggressively driving strategic research and advocating for public policies that meet the critical needs of the brain tumor community. Your support ensures this important work will continue.
