​As you may or may not know, my dad died when I was 25 years old. I was one of his primary care takers. A few years later I decided to become a nurse and try to repay the emotional debt our family owes to the hospice nurses and caretakers of my father. I have been an ER nurse for a few years now. I have seen COVID and other equally challenging things in the Emergency room the past 3 years. The only thing I don’t love about being a nurse is that I can’t tell my dad about my day.
