Welcome to My Personal Page
As you may know, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor 20 years ago and NBTS was one of the first places my family and I turned for information. They were so helpful to us during a very confusing time. If you'd like to support me and NBTS in this race, please consider donating. And if you want to join my team whether in person or virtually, online registration is open now at http://bit.ly/RFH24BEF.
After amazing events at the Philadelphia Navy Yard for four years, and 2 virtual events in 2020 and 2021, it was wonderful to be back in person with everyone in 2022 and 2023. 2024 will be better than ever at our new home at Cooper River Park!
Your support and commitment mean the world to me, as do the event and the National Brain Tumor Society. As you may know, I have co-chaired the Volunteer Planning Committee for the Race in the past and still serve on the Volunteer Planning Committee. As a 20 year chordoma brain tumor survivor/thriver, NBTS' mission of research and advocacy is something I support whole-heartedly. Money raised from the Race goes directly to funding research that will lead to cures for brain tumors. In fact, NBTS funded a seed grant that led to the recent breakthroughs using the polio virus to attack brain tumors and David Arons, the CEO of NBTS, is part of the White House Cancer Moonshot Task Force that was led by then-Vice President Biden! The dollars that we raise make a huge impact, and we have never been closer to a cure than we are now.
Joining the team is as easy as clicking the blue "Join Beth's Team" button at the link above. Please invite others to join us on the team, too; the more the merrier!
National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS) is putting the search for a cure into overdrive. Progress is being made, but there is so much more to be done. Please support my efforts!
National Brain Tumor Society is fiercely committed to finding a cure for brain tumors. They are aggressively driving strategic research; advocating for public policies that meet the critical needs of the brain tumor community; and providing comprehensive patient, family and caregiver resources. Your support ensures this important work will continue.
