Race for Hope Greater Philadelphia: Mr. Larry Oxenberg

Dear Family and friends,

Here we go again. We’re almost in May, Brain Cancer Awareness Month.

I’ve am fortunate to still be alive for more than six years since my glioblastoma diagnosis. Not everyone has been as fortunate as I’ve been. Glioblastoma is the deadliest form of brain cancer and much more research is needed to find new treatments and, hopefully, a cure. There still is NO CURE!!!

We will be walking and running again in October to raise funds for this research.

NOTE: NEW DAY AND NEW VENUE. This year’s event, renamed Greater Philadelphia Race for Hope, will take place on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 13 at COOPER RIVER PARK in Pennsauken, NJ.

Please register to join us. You can be a walker or runner. Please join our team, TEAM BALD BUBBY. You can be a team member for a small fee ( you get an official race tee shirt for joining.) Then you can also make an additional donation if you want to. Or you can just donate. Any and all amounts are appreciated and needed.

Thank you to all who have donated in the past and to all who have already donated this year. You have all been so incredibly generous! Please dig deep and give whatever you can.

Since 2018, TEAM BALD BUBBY has raised more than $130,000. Let’s keep up the good work. Maybe this will be the year they discover a cure. My hope is to stay alive until that happens.
