Remembering Myrna Abelman Siegel
30 years of grief that laid a thick veil on top of every other event of my life, whether happy or sad. 30 years of not knowing the woman who mothered me and being robbed of that experience as I became a mother.
30 years later and brain tumors are still ending lives and destroying families. However, there have also been so many more stories of survivors as treatment and research have improved. That is why, in order to remember Myrna, my husband, daughters and I will be participating in this year's National Brain Tumor Society Walk on October 13.
We'd love it if local friends could come out and walk with us! It's a beautiful event and this will be the first year it will be very close to home on the Cooper River in Collingswood and Pennsauken! If you are interested in walking, running, or donating, please find more information on my page. I appreciate those of you who have helped me on this journey and become my forever family along the way.
National Brain Tumor Society is fiercely committed to finding a cure for brain tumors. They are aggressively driving strategic research; advocating for public policies that meet the critical needs of the brain tumor community; and providing comprehensive patient, family and caregiver resources.
