As many of you know, I was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma (GBM) Brain Tumor and an Epenymoma Spinal Tumor in 2007. I had surgeries to resect both tumors, followed by radiation therapy and chemotherapy. A year later, I lost the vision in right eye. Through medication, my vision did return. Like so many patients and survivors, my condition requires continuous monitoring.
Brain Cancer is a terrible disease and GBM is the most treatment resistant and deadliest type of brain cancer. There are only 5 FDA approved drugs to treat Brain Tumors. And the average survival rate for a grade 4 GBM is still only 12-18 months, which is the same as when I was diagnosed 17 years ago.
I am living proof that there is HOPE. But this fight against brain cancer requires funds to support research, treament and patient care for this deadly disease. I am asking for your donation to join me in this fight.
