Welcome to My Personal Page

Dear friends and family,
It's time to raise money so Lynn and others like her, can live a long and happy life!
Please read below and donate what you can !
In December 2017, Lynn's GBM was diagnosed and resected. In 2018 we learned about the NBTS Race for Hope Philly 5K. Can we do this? Not only did Lynn walk the 5K but did it along with our team of over 50 friends and family. Together we raised over $20,000. In 2019, we walked again and raised over $30,000. The Race for Hope Philly had a banner year in 2019 raising over $1 million for the first time ever. In 2020, due to the pandemic, the city of Philadelphia would not grant us a permit to gather. We pivoted to a virtual platform. Our amazing team raised over $20,000 that year. Even during the pandemic the Race for Hope Philly managed to raise over $600,000.
These funds support brain tumor research for adults and children. Pediatric brain tumors are the greatest cause of death in children and there are still no successful pediatric treatments available today. For adults there are only 5 drugs and one device but still NO CURE!
In 2021, the event will be virtual again. We are counting on all of your support. We will join the other Fall events all over the U.S. in October in a virtual national effort called Fall Challenge: Miles for Milestones (for 2021 only).
Please register to be a member of our team, Team Bald Bubby, by clicking Join Larry's Team! on the right hand side.
There is NO cost to register this year. So now you can donate whatever you feel comfortable with.
Our plan is for Team Bald Bubby to do our own walk around our neighborhood in a Covid safe way (date TBD) so we can be together and celebrate life!!
Why am I so adamant about raising brain tumor awareness and raising funds for research?
To quote Rabbi Hillel, one of our great Jewish sages, "If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am not for others, what am I? And if not now, when?"
Thank you all in advance for all of you support!
National Brain Tumor Society will not rest until a cure exist - but more needs to be done. Please join Lynn's effort!

National Brain Tumor Society is fiercely committed to finding a cure for brain tumors. They are aggressively driving strategic research; advocating for public policies that meet the critical needs of the brain tumor community; and providing comprehensive patient, family and caregiver resources. Your support ensures this important work will continue.
