TEAM ALAN WAX

The one word everyone always used when describing Alan was "good." He's a "good" person, a "good" guy. He's one of the "good" ones. Alan was indeed a good-natured human being, but he was more. Alan was a loving family man. His love for his wife and two daughters knew no bounds. He was a warm, kind-hearted, and compassionate person with the best sense of humor, and he made everyone feel welcome. Alan was an excellent attorney, popular in his industry he was the recipient of numerous awards. Alan was well-liked and respected by his peers and office staff.

In 2019, Alan was diagnosed with glioblastoma (brain cancer). He spent the next eleven months battling against a malignant tumor that engulfed and attacked his brain. Unfortunately, no amount of treatment, including clinical trial treatments, could stop the pernicious monstrosity of glioblastoma. In the final few months before his death, Alan lost the ability to perform cognitive and motor skills. He was bedridden and could no longer do the things we all take for granted, like communicate, move his arms and legs, eat food or drink water, and he required the help of a machine to breathe. In less than a year, glioblastoma transformed a good person and gifted attorney into a breathing corpse.

Alan died on February 18, 2020, but he never left our hearts. His memory will live on through his family and friends. And, one day, when a cure is found for glioblastoma, we will think of Alan and all of the other brave individuals who died from this terrible disease, and we will honor them for being the catalyst in finding a cure.
